01About the Role

Lead new business development at ORYNE.

The position owns sales for NURiQ, our formulation and innovation intelligence product. Initial focus is closing pilot engagements with mid-market F&B and CPG brands. Scope expands across the broader platform as accounts mature.

The role develops the outbound playbook, contributes to pricing and positioning, and reports directly to the founder.

02What You Will Do

Responsibilities span the full sales cycle.

Prospect, qualify, and close NURiQ pilot engagements with mid-market F&B and CPG brands.
Build and manage a pipeline of innovation and R&D decision-makers within the ICP.
Develop outbound messaging and sequencing for domain-familiar contacts.
Author the sales playbook: sequences, demo flow, objection handling, and pricing conversations.
Partner with the founder on enterprise opportunities requiring senior commercial structure.
Contribute to positioning, pricing, and go-to-market decisions as the commercial lead.
03Qualifications

CPG fluency. Mid-market experience.

5+ years of B2B sales experience in CPG, F&B, or directly adjacent industries.
Demonstrated track record selling into mid-market brands, with working knowledge of how procurement, innovation, and R&D functions buy.
Technical fluency in formula complexity, claim architecture, co-manufacturer constraints, and category velocity.
Active professional network in CPG or F&B.
Personal financial runway sufficient to operate during commission-only ramp.
Strong written communication. Outbound sequences require precision.
Comfort operating without an established playbook.
04Compensation

Commission with equity participation.

Compensation is structured as commission only, with no base salary. Rates are tiered by lead source, with self-generated pipeline carrying the highest rate. Equity is granted in tranches that vest against revenue milestones, under standard cliff and vesting terms.

Commission Framework
20% lifetime commission on MRR for self-sourced deals, paid monthly on collected revenue.
Reduced lifetime rates apply to inbound and company-sourced opportunities.
20% one-time commission at close on professional services engagements.
Equity vests in tranches against revenue milestones, with standard cliff and vesting terms.
Realistic Earnings
Year 1 is structured below market by design, reflecting the commission-only ramp during pilot phase.
Year 2 OTE ranges from approximately $75K – $200K, scaling with performance.
Year 3 OTE ranges from approximately $100K – $300K+.
Equity participation compounds these figures materially on a liquidity event.

Exact rates by lead source, equity tranche thresholds, and a full earnings model are reviewed during the first interview. The structure is designed for a candidate optimizing for multi-year upside rather than near-term base compensation.
